Europe starts with the details.
Schengen preparation for travellers who want one coherent story across itinerary, insurance, finances and passport validity.
mapped for
clear review
It is not simply where you land first.
You normally apply through the Schengen country where you will spend the most nights — or, when the purpose differs, the country that matches your main purpose. Your first point of entry is only the last-resort tiebreaker when nights and purpose are equal.
We ask a few quick itinerary questions and work out the correct country automatically, removing the guesswork and reducing the risk of applying through the wrong consulate.
Example: land in France, then spend most of the trip in Italy → apply through Italy. The small omissions are rarely small.
Schengen files are detail-heavy. A passport that falls short of the validity rule, insurance that misses the required coverage, or dates that disagree across bookings can create avoidable questions.
Less guesswork.
More completeness.
We organise your information into a harmonised 37-field preparation dictionary, reconcile the supporting evidence and route issues to a human reviewer before any staff-assisted next step.
Start my checklist- 01Collect the right evidence
- 02Check dates, validity and coverage
- 03Review the complete file
- 04We submit your fileOnce your file passes review, our staff personally transcribe your validated information into the official government system. This is careful human data entry, not an automated submission.
- 05We secure your appointmentAfter submission, our staff work to confirm your interview or appointment date. We notify you on WhatsApp as soon as it is booked.
- 06You attend, we keep you postedYou attend the appointment in person; nobody can attend on your behalf. We send WhatsApp reminders as the date approaches, and if anything is missing or incorrect, you receive a specific WhatsApp or email message explaining exactly what needs fixing.
Strengthen Your Application
Under the EU Visa Code, the consulate may interview an applicant at its discretion, but not every applicant is interviewed. If you are asked questions, answer honestly in your own words. ZD Visa does not script answers, coach you on how to phrase them or advise you to withhold information.
This guide helps you prepare a stronger, more complete application. It does not guarantee approval. Visa decisions are made solely by the embassy or consulate, and an application can still be refused even if it is complete and well-prepared.
Purpose & itinerary
Explain the genuine purpose of the trip and provide a realistic itinerary. Travel dates, destinations, accommodation and transport reservations should support the same plan, including the country of the main purpose or longest stay.
Financial means
Provide recent bank statements and income evidence showing how the trip will be funded and that the funds have a credible source. If someone sponsors the trip, include their written support, financial evidence and proof of the relationship.
Travel insurance
Use travel medical insurance that meets the applicable Schengen requirements and covers the full intended trip. Check that the traveller’s details, dates, territory and required level of cover are accurate.
Consistency across documents
Names, dates, destinations, trip costs, employment details and sponsorship arrangements should agree across the form, itinerary, bookings, insurance and supporting records. Explain genuine differences rather than hiding them.
Ties to South Africa
Employment, studies, family responsibilities, financial commitments and other ongoing circumstances can help show why you plan to return after the visit. Provide evidence that accurately reflects your own situation.
If you were previously refused
Disclose the refusal truthfully and provide the correct date, country and reason where known. Address the stated concerns with accurate current evidence and explain what has changed; do not conceal the refusal or invent an explanation.
Preparation for your purpose.
ZD Visa is a private document-preparation and visa application assistance service. We are not a government department, embassy, consulate or official portal, we do not issue visas, and approval is never guaranteed.
